setting up CCS v6

Hello,

I downloaded CCS v6(7.6 MB Im not sure if thats the whole software or just some patch). And my target board is TMSC320F28335 control card. I wanted to know how to setup CCS v6 for this board. I am using CCS for the first time. The module that came with the target board are using CCS v3.3 or v4. should I use these versions or can I configure CCS v6 to my needs. I also failed to find a Look up table graph in tools. Pls also suggest how to find that(If I have to download additional drivers). If you dont mind pls tell me step by step in configuring CCS v6. Its very important.

Hi Vishnu,

CCS v6 is recommended for F28335. Go for the offline installation, the file you've downloaded is Online installer. Offline installer is a safer choice.
Also, after installing CCS you need to install controlSuite where you can find the drivers and peripheral headers in this location:
C:\ti\controlSUITE\device_support\f2833x\v133

Just to add to Gautam's suggestions, if you are new to CCS, the Fundamentals Workshops will be a great introduction to CCS. We have workshops for a couple of other F28x devices, not F28335 specifically, but the workshops are mostly meant to give an introduction to the CCS features so you can try to follow along with any device as long as you use the corresponding examples from ControlSuite for your specific device.
