CCS placed on severs

Hello,

I have a customer interested in placing CCS platinum on their server and controlling the distribution for ten licenses (ten seats).  Before CCS can be loaded onto there server, there are several questions that have been asked about our CCS software.

1)       Is our CCS s/w based on the industry Standard FLEXLM tool configuration?

2)       If yes, what version?

3)       Are we able to offer a global license so that our customer can distribute the ten seats to any of of their locations World Wide?

4)       Is there a s/w license agreement that needs to be in place before a customers can load CCS on their server?

5)    Please let me know if there is a contact within our tools team that can assist with these questions and any additional questions related to this post.

Thanks in advance!

  • Todd,

CCSv4 uses FlexNET licensing (used to be called FlexLM).  Not sure which exact version, also not sure why that matters.

There are floating licenses available for CCS, floating licenses are distributed by a license server to computers running CCS on a network.  You would install CCS on the individual workstations running CCS (not on the license server).

Some customers choose to setup a single license server that is used world wide, others setup local license servers at each site.  In TI we have a single license server for CCS licenses.
