Uniflash Download Options for MSP430

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, MSP430F5438A

I am using Uniflash Version 3.0.0.00031 to erase MSP430F5438A processor devices.

In the "Download Options" section, there are 5 different "Erase Options" listed.  I'm looking for some clarification on what each of those options accomplishes.

Specifically, what is the difference between "Erase main and information memory" and "Erase main, information, and protected information memory" options?

I cannot find any documentation for the MSP430F5438A that differentiates between "Information Memory" and "Protected Information Memory".  Is "Protected Information Memory" referencing a specific segment (i.e. A, B, C, or D), or is it another section of memory entirely?

This may be different for different MSPs, but from reading the Users Guide for MSP430F5438A, Segment A of Information memory can be protected, so that would be the Protected Information Memory. I am pretty sure this is accurate, but you can double-check for a more definitive answer by asking in the MSP430 Forums.
