Programming F28335 in Production ICT Environment Using *.SVF Format

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335

We are going to production with our product that runs with a TMS320F28335 processor and would like to program it during In Circuit Testing (ICT). To do this we need to convert the output of the compiler to the *.SVF (Serial Vector Format) format. I have searched the forums and it seems to me there is no good solution for this.

I have found some utilities on the web to convert a *.hex file to *.svf, but they all have parameters that select a particular processor and do not include any TI options; not sure how important this is, but sounds like a no go without a proper porocessor option. The only TI option I have found is for programming certain digital power ICs.

Is this a case where there is no good, ready-made option to get a *.svf output from CCS compiled output?

It is not worth our time to solve this from scratch using the SVF specification when we can just expend a little time programming boards by hand; maybe that is true for most manufacturers and that is why an easy solution does not exist.

Any thoughts?
