Simulator For TMS320c28XX & How To create Target Configuration file for simulator.

I tried to connect to F283xx simulator but its opening the the debug session, but its not connecting to the simulator, 

Iam Unable to load the program and run,

           We are not able to see your snapshot - you have provided local path. To attach the snapshot, click on "Options->File Attach" while replying to the post.

PFA snapshot of debug session,

This is not only for simulator,

This is the same case happening with Parallel Port Emulator provided by Spectrum digital which i have already used with CCS v3.1 which working fine with 3.1.

& XDS100 emulator  also.

Please help me by giving the solution for this ASAP.

Hi Manu,

           I believe you are having issue in launching the correct target configuration. Check the configuration you are launching in window "view->Target Configuration" under user defined or under project. Create a target configuration under user defined & launch the selected configuration.

Hi mani,

If i switch off the hadware during debug session, which as sent u snapshot.

i got the following message in console window:

• C28xx: GEL: Warning loading file 'C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\emulation\gel\f2812.gel', line 103: the function 'GEL_OpenWindow' is not supported.
• C28xx: GEL: Warning loading file 'C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\emulation\gel\f2812.gel', line 112: the function 'GEL_CloseWindow' is not supported.
• C28xx: Power Failure on Target CPU: Error 0xA0002020/-180 Error during: Execution, Control, 
• C28xx: Failed to remove the debug state from the target before disconnecting.  There may still be breakpoint op-codes embedded in program memory.  It is recommended that you reset the emulator before you connect and reload your program before you continue debugging

Please  give me some suggestion to come out of this situation ASAP.

I am now in between the project, I expect i may get the solution here.

I had gone through the links sent by u, In that also they are telling the same as u told that CCS v4 will not support GEL Functions,

Thanks for that, By changing the Workspace iam able  to debug now,

But there is one problem in that, That is It is showing some error related to command files,

Can u please help me in this, Iam sending the snapshot of that error, Ii include .cmd file which comes with CCS v4(i.e, 2812_RAM_LINK.cmd) it will give that error,

I have tried by including the .cmd files which comes with example files from SPECTRUM DIGITAL, (i.e, F2812_EzDSP_RAM_lnk.cmd & DSP281x_Headers_nonBIOS.cmd) its working,

Can u please what need to done in that 2812_RAM_LINK.cmd file, To work properly, Guide me.
