Stack analysis for TMS570

Hi,

We are using TMS570LS3137 for developing our application. Would like to know a method to perform stack analysis using the CCS tools, if any.

If RTOS Object View tool can help in analyzing the stack, we need help on installing, configuring and using the tool.

If you are using TI-RTOS, then RTOS Object View (which can simply be invoked from a menu item) can be helpful in analyzing the stack. There is some general information on debugging stack overflow issues in systems running DSP/BIOS in this wiki page:

This is written for the older version of DSP/BIOS (rather than the new SYS/BIOS) and older versions of CCS, so despite the fact that GUI interfaces and names of tools may be different in newer versions, the concepts and ideas are still applicable.

If you are not using TI-RTOS and wish to perform static stack analysis, you could have a look at the call_graph script from the cg_xml package.
