Error -image requires ROMS directive

ccs 6.1  latest update  seems to be quite  unstable.

Nearly daily  i need to reinstall (on an otherwise stable  computer)

This time  after  loading  some examples  on every  build it complains  :during link time    image requires ROMS directive.

I seem not to be the first one  reporting this problem.
But all  answers are pointing  to oblivia.


as I'm installing daily(instability)  and on different machines (I'm forced to due to instablility)  I'm using implicitely the latest software.

BUt hardly get any work done.

Editing and debugging works for a while,.... and then  all of a suden   the instalation seems to  be corrupted like described above.

     I'm worried since the problem occurs for all examples

    and it's not an eclipse error   ROMS are things to expect  while developing on cc3200(4.1)

PLease help.

    Does this error appear consistently? Can you tell us which specific example project you are building?

    When you updated to CCS 6.1, did you update your version directly from within CCS?

    In such cases, have you tried cleaning the workspace or opening a new workspace and importing your projects into the new workspace? That might help resolve issues without having to go down the path of reinstall. http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Troubleshooting_CCSv6#General_IDE

    (sorry for answering late ; have to find my way in this forum)

    Still have the problem even after full rebuild workplace .
    Error message image requires ROMS directive ! Error
    I have it fully reproducible (even after re install.
    I have it on all applications ex getting_started station in the original form
    and on all the app's I build
    is rather annoying it allows me to debug (but I have to ignore the error

    Please does the message "ROMS directive" ring a bell with someone
    or are we all in the habit of ignoring the message and look for other thing(assume all error messages are wrong!)

    ps clean work space and projects, re-install on regular basis (as mentioned before losing quite some efficiency that way)

    I do not see error when building the example projects in CC3200 SDK v1.1.0 including wlan_station example. 

    I suspect the issue might be something specific in your environment. To help us isolate the issue, could you please copy the entire CCS build log (the output in the CCS build console) when building wlan_station to a text file and attach it here?
