CCSServer.openSession() failed

I am using java socket programming.

Im trying to invoke DSS without dss.bat, please let me know what PATHs i need to set for CCSServer.openSession() to work

WARNING: CCSServer.openSession() failed. DSS was unable to launch Code Composer
Studio, however script execution will continue. java.lang.ClassNotFoundExceptio

Hello,
Please provide more details. Some questions off the top of my head:

-What exact CCS version are you using?
-how are you invoking DSS if you are not using dss.bat?
-Why are you calling CCSServer?

In this thread Devin Cottier has attached a zip file from which i am running the code, it is java socket programming.
I am using CCSv6
I want to open eclipse Gui. So i am invoking CCS session.

Hi Kushal,
I see that the example code your refer to is Java code. As mentioned in the link below, launching CCS GUI from DSS is not supported with Java in CCS versions 5 and greater:
