How to connect multiple targets to a single PC running Code Composer Studio?

Hi,

I have a situation wherein I need to debug atleast 2 targets using single PC using Code Composer Studio ? I remember one of my ex-colleague was successful in debugging 2 units like this.

But I don't know how he did that ? Any guidelines / pointers in this is greatly appreciated.

I am using 'Code Composer studio v3.1", SD Config Version 1.39; and XDS510 USB Emulator for debugging .

How will the two targets be connected to the PC? Each with their own XDS510USB emulator?

Yes. Each target will be connected using their own emulator. So I was thinking of using USB hub with multiple USB ports on one side to connect multiple emulators and other side of USB hub connected to PC. Unless there is some other better option.

Yes this is supported. What brand are the emulators? Spectrum Digital?

Yes. It is Spectrum Digital Emulator for Windows XP. Can you please let me know the details as to how to do it ? Thanks

Hi Ki,

I went through the document to connect 2 XDS510 USB emulator. I was OK until I came across this section.

SdFlash Setup:

"SdFlash does not support multiple emulation connections in a single session. Instead you run multiple instances of SdFlash. For each SdFlash instance, you will have a separate configuration file(.sdp) file with the only difference being the emulator address. .... "

My question is...

Where can I find the .sdp files ?

Also it talks about opening an existing SdFlash configuration for the XDS510USB.

Can you please pass me some pointers to get through this section... I am stuck here.
