CCS 6.10 for Mac: Energia location not recognised

When calling the menu Project > New Energia Sketch..., CCS 6.10 for Mac asks for the location of Energia.

The Energia IDE is installed under /Applications/IDE on my MacBook. The full path is /Applications/IDE/Energia.app, as applications are folders on Mac OS X with a specific .app suffix.

Unfortunately, pointing to /Applications/IDE or /Applications/IDE/Energia fails.

Same issue occurs with the menu Code Composer Studio > Preferences > Energia.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I see this issue on my Mac as well. I have filed SDSCM00051981 so this is looked at and addressed for a future release.

Hi Rei,

Until this issue is fixed, you can work around it by manually entering the full path to the directory containing the "energia" executable. E.g: /Applications/IDE/Energia.app/Contents/Resources/Java .

Typing in /Applications/IDE/Energia.app/Contents/Resources/Java does not solve the problem, as CCS still looks for an executable called Energia.

Adding a proxy energia file —and then deleting it— allows to go to the next step.

However, at the next next for the selection of the board, an additional message complains about not finding the boards definition.

Please note the way applications are managed by Mac OS X is completely different from Windows.

Hi Baltazar,

I updated to CCS Version: 7.0.0.00042 , and I have still the problem. When I browse to the Energia application. I have the following message: "The specified directory does not resemble an Energia install. Please select the directory containing the 'energia' executable."
