Using XDS 510 with DK-LM3S9B96

Hi,

We have an important client that is trying to do the following:

Use the Spectrum Digital USB XDS 510 Emulator.
Connect via TMDSADPEMU-20A 14-20 pin converter to the DK-LM3S 9B96 board
And run CCS v4.1.0.2006.

He is finding that CCS does not see the board when connected as such. My question for you is:

Have we ever tried a setup like this?
Do we think that it should work?
Is there a special driver from Spectrum Digital required?
Any other ideas for us on why it isn't working?

If they have an SD 510 USB PLUS they can use the software settings on that page. If they are using an older SD 510 USB then then need to short pins 9 & 11 on the jtag adapter:

That worked for the 9B96. Thanks much.

One more add-on question: Once they short pins 9 and 11, will they still be able to debug the C6472 that is in the same JTAG Daisy Chain?
