What do dashes mean in Code Composer memory browser?

I'm trying to configure some FPGA I/O space as external memory on a Tiva processor. When debugging, the memory browser displays this space as all dashes. What do the dashes mean? If it's that the project is unaware of the memory space, where does the memory browser get it's information about known addresses?

If I recall correctly, the dashes represent memory specified as non-accessible by the debugger memory map:

Hi,

The dashes mean the memory is invalid, not configured, etc. However, the debugger is only made aware of this via the GEL file - more specifically the calls to GEL_MapAddStr().

This file is populated with whatever it is the standard device's memory configuration, I/O, etc.

In your case, I would suggest that you open the GEL file used by your configuration and take a look at how it is configured, changing the addresses as required by your system.
