Please digitally sign updates

CCSv4 just notified me of several updates within the last two days. None of them were digitally signed.

Please digitally sign your updates to CCSv4. TI is a large and reputable company and should have this capability. Not doing it just causes warnings during the install process that lead to Doubt from us as users.

  • Jason,

    Which updates were not signed?

    I just installed a bunch of the compiler updates that were pushed out and they were all signed.  Strangely Eclipse still pops up a dialog for them showing who it was signed by.

    I also installed an update from Blackhawk (EWA) that was not signed.  I can ping them and see if that is something they can do going forward.

    Did you see others that were not signed?

  • Hmm. Apologies. I went back and uninstalled/reinstalled the two code generation tool updates; they were in fact signed. I don't know why I had thought they weren't signed. The Blackhawk update, however, was unsigned.

    (these were the ones that were signed:

    com.ti.cgt.msp430.3.2_3.2.3

    com.ti.cgt.c2000.5.2_5.2.5

    )

  • No worries Jason.  The first time I saw the popup from Eclipse on the compiler update I thought it was complaining about them not be signed as well.

    I spoke with Blackhawk and they have their drivers signed and are working on getting the installer package signed.
