virtual XP on OSX not finding the USB

i understand the driver has been updated, a link to the latest USB driver would we good.

i have a mac (office Dell pc has a dead hard drive) running 10.6 OSX, VMWare 2.x Fusion with XP prof service pk3. installed off the cd CCStudio 3.3 and "EVM tools for C5505" but the virtual xp dosnt see the evm board's usb as new hardware. It does see a test USB printer tho.

any thoughts guys?

I tried it out with VMWare Workstation 6.0 running a Windows XP SP3 image. My 5505 was detected by the VM image and I was able to connect it to my VM and also have the CCS running in the VM connect to it.

You may want to ping VMWare for help as most likely it is an issue with the VMWare Fusion. This forum is for CCS specific issues.

i tried a few low end ink jet printers and some test equipment laying around. all these units were discovered except CCStudio.

Hi Jah,

I would recommend using the latest version of VMWare Fusion 3.x. You can apply for a 30days trial licence here: http://www.vmware.com/products/fusion/.

Pls ensure to have the VMWare tools installed!

I'm using the latest version on OSX 10.6.3 Snow Leopard without problems.
