Interfacing XDS100v2 with TMS320F28335 DSP controller

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28335, UNIFLASH

hello every one,

i facing problem related to establish connection between XDS100V2 and TMS320F28335. i am facing probles/error on CCS uniflash GUI

1) when i use 3.3/5 V TVRef then i got  error as

[15:37:35] ERROR >> C28xx: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1155 @ 0x0) Device may be operating in low-power mode. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 5.1.73.0)

2) when i use 2.5/1.8 V TVRef then i got  error as

[15:40:28] ERROR >> C28xx: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1135 @ 0x0) The emulator reported an error. Confirm emulator configuration and connections, reset the emulator, and retry the operation. (Emulation package 5.1.73.0)

please help me to toggle this problem

  • Hi,

Does the board debug well on CCS ? Also, is this a custom board or dev kit? Was the hardware working properly before?

  • hello,

Actually I make new design/Hardware for my application and i am at testing level. But i refer some board schematics and PCB layouts, available for eZDSP F28335 kit and one reference P. hd. thesis for schematic.

thus i am confident about my board but may be at TVRef i.e. at JTAG connector may introduce this problem but i am not sure, but it may be and i looking for solution

  • Hi Neeraj,

Can you run some low-level diagnostics via the dbgjtag utility and post the results? If you have a CCS installation, you can just use the test connection button as shown in this video:

Otherwise you can run the utility from the command-line as described in the url below:

    Thanks
