Can customer use ccs5 license to use ccs6

Dear Experts

My customer purchased CCS5 full license (floating).

Can he use ccs5 license to activate ccs6?

How to extend CCS5 license to CCS6?

Actually they install CCS6 but can still work on trial version only.

Hi Jeff,

He should be able to upgrade the license by going to: www.ti.com/activatesoftware
Only condition being CCS v5 license purchasal should be within a year.

Hi Sir,

I wanna upgrade CCS5 license to CCS6 , I follow TI send to me "Licensing Instructions for your TI Softwar" mail step as blow:

TO UPGRADE TO CCS v6:
* Go to www.ti.com/myregisteredsoftware
* Click on MANAGE. Click on Upgrade - Get New License.
* Look for two more emails from TI: a License File (lic) for and new instructions.
* Follow those instructions to install your Code Composer Studio upgrade.

when I click on :"MANAGE", the display no "Upgrade" item I can select. I don't know why, please help me to solve it. Thanks a lot!!!

Hi Grace,
Starting with CCSv6.1.1, you no longer need to do anything to "Update" your license from CCSv5 to CCSv6. Your v5 license will just automatically work with v6.1.1. CCSv6.1.1 should be released this week so please wait for that version.
