Does CCSv4 work with C6747 Starter Kit?

Hi,

I have a few question related to CCS v3.3 versus v4

. The C6747 starter kits provided with CCS v3.3. I was told that there is problem for the starter kit to work wih CCSv4. Is this true? What are the problems?

. I would like to use the newer XDS100v2 for better performance but it only work with CCSv4. Also, CCS v4 has network licenses. My SW team already started workin on with the starter kit with CCS v3.3. What's the effort and risk to migrate from CCS v3.3 to v4?

I don't know of any outstanding issues with this configuration. I use one myself and don't have any issues that could be related to the board or the device itself. You can even use the Free Limited version with the built-in emulator of the C6747 development board (TMDSOSKL137), therefore not requiring the purchase of a XDS100v2 for development. This will only be needed to connect to the custom hardware.

Although the migration from CCSv3.3 to 4 is heavily dependent on the project itself (due to its dependencies, etc), the method of doing it is widely described in the page below: a complete migration example.
