exceeds code size limit

I have a problem about ccs compiler error:error: output file "./Debug/pwm50hz.out" exceeds code size limit
error: errors encountered during linking; "./Debug/pwm50hz.out" not built.

The version of my ccs is ccs v3.3.82.13,the CGT is V5.2.2. I found the .map  and saw the volume of my .map was 100kb.

I could't find where  the license is? I want to konw,how could i deal with the problem? The largeset volume of .map   is 100kb?

    Which controller are you using? Also, do you've a full license?

    The controller i used is TMS 320F28335..I didn't know about license.So i think i haven't have a license.

    Hi,

    So why not migrate to CCSv6.1 - the latest one. There's no more support for v3.3 and also, if you've XDS100 debugger you can access CCS full version using "Free License" mode.

    Thanks for your reply.All my programs are based on CCS V3.3,are they completely compatible with CCS V6.1 ?I only have XDS510,So i am doubt about the feasibility.

    You can migrate your CCSv3.3 projects to CCSv6.1.  There is an import wizard that does most of the work but you will likely have to make some changes afterwards as going from v3 to v6 is a BIG step.

    With CCSv6.1 this is a 90 day eval license that does not have a code size limit.  You could use that to do the migration and then decide if you want to buy an xds100 ($79) to use the free CCS license or purchase a full CCS license ($495) to use your xds510.  On 28x I would just go with an xds100.
