I'm able to launch the debugger, which then completely builds the project, but the terminate, pause, etc. buttons are greyed out. This doesn't permit me to step through the code or do just about anything else. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
There is a known issue with Simple Mode and CCSv6. See this link for more details and a workaround: e2e.ti.com/.../1471704

Note that the above link mentions importing Energia sketches but the root cause is actually Simple Mode.

Hello KSLee,

This worked for me. I needed to recover an existing project so I used the second suggestion which resolved the problem. I think I'll stay in Debug mode and not worry about "Simple" mode.
