CCS v6.1 crash under Windows 10

Hi

I just upgraded my Windows 8.1 ( official ) to Windows 10 ( official ) last wednesday.

After upgrade, I tried to run CCS v6.1 under Windows 10 and it operated normally and I could compile an example project without problem.

When I was looking around through internet, I received a message warning that I needed to upgrade my Java, so I did it.

Today, when I tried to open CCS v6.1, it displayed following message:

Ccstudio

An error has occurred. See the log file

C:\Users\Sergio\workspace_v6_1\.metadata\.log.

After this message, CCS close.


Attached follows the log file.

Could somebody guide me on how to fix this issue, please?

    Although CCS 6.1 is not officially tested with Windows 10, I know some folks have had it working internally.

    Thank you for attaching the log file, we will see if it sheds light on the problem.

    Hope you can fix this issue.

    In the mean time, I am using CCSv6.1 with another computer with W7, but my W10 computer is my main development one.

    If you need more information, don't hesitate to request it, please.

    Sergio,

    The log doesn't reveal any reason why an update to the system java version would affect CCS. The CCS folder has its own JVM and it is still being used even after the Java update. 

    There may be permissions issues with access to files in the ti\ccsv6\eclipse\ folder.  Could you make sure the user ID running CCS has full control of the files and sub-folders in ti\ccsv6\eclipse? (IE, apply the full control permission from the properties dialog opened from Windows explorer for the eclipse folder.)

    YESSSS, I did exactly what you said and it WORKED!

    Perhaps when I installed W10, some permissions changed or defaulted.

    APP CENTER worked too ( it wasn't working and this was a pendind post until now ).
