XDS Emulator Installation fails for XDS110 TI Debugger Devpack

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BLE-STACK, CC2650

Hi,

When I am installing the http://www.ti.com/tool/CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG in win 8.1 i am getting the Driver Installation failed. I am installing it seperately to wrok with IAR. Any answers why so?

CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG

  • Hi,

With the level of detail provided it is difficult to make a precise assessment about the issue.

    - Is there a specific error reported during install?
    - The CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG is a hardware tool. Are you installing the BLE-STACK instead?
    - If so, did you follow the instructions on section 2.5 of the software developer's guide? (link below)

  • Hi,

I am sorry for the delayed reply.

Yes, I installed as per the document but I get an FTDI cable error. However, this is not my concern now as I have the cloud programming facility for cc2650 using the XDS110 debugger. But I would like to get clarified on the same. I am trying to debug a custom designed board of cc2650. I get this error: IcePick_C: Error connecting to the target: (Error -242 @ 0x0) A router subpath could not be accessed. The board configuration file is probably incorrect. (Emulation package 5.1.641.0)

    Any suggestion, please.

    Thanks,

    Bala.

  • Bala,

I suspect you have some configuration errors.

The CC-DEVPACK-DEBUG does not use FTDI devices, therefore I wonder if the document you refer is configuring a XDS100v3 instead (which is based on FTDI).

Regarding the error message you mentioned, there is a strong possibility of a hardware error (connection, power, routing, etc.).  A few threads mention similar scenarios:

    Hope this helps,
