Watchpoints CCS 5.4 running Linux OS

Hello,

I am running linux (Ubuntu 12.04) and CCS 5.4. Is it possible to place a watchpoint while debugging TDA2x? Going to the breakpoint menu only presents the options of "Breakpoint", "Hardware Breakpoint", and "Profile Control Point". Is this feature not available in Linux installs, or do I need to enable a feature.

    I would expect hardware watchpoints to be accessible on TDA2x. However CCS 5.4 is a bit old and I wonder if support for those features on that device was somewhat limited with that version. Would you be able to install the latest CCS 6.1 and give it a try?

    You can install it in a different directory than your existing installation and that way have both versions side-by-side to test out.
