ccstudio.exe detected by AVG Anti Virus

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Hi,

I opened CCS, and my AVG Anti Virus detected ccstudio.exe as a virus. I choose "Allow". Does this usually happens? I just searched in the internet and found that IDP.ALEXA.46 is a virus. Now I am thinking I made a mistaking choosing "Allow".

  • Hi Markel,

Seems like you've infected your drive. Try scanning and healing the PC first. I hope the anti-virus does not delete the exe files!

  • Markel,

I tend to agree with Gautam... Funny, it seems neither AVG knows what IDP.Alexa.46 means, based on the discussion below:
    support.avg.com/answers

There is a chance it is either a brand new virus or a false positive.

Any chance you can test a different AV? We use here Symantec and at home I use Nod32 - both did not spawn anything recently.

    Cheers,
    Rafael
  • I did a complete Anti-Virus scan of my drive. My AVG detected several Adware and fixed it. However, the IDP.ALEXA.46 was not detected at ccstudio.exe.

I opened CCS, and there was no AVG virus detected. I am happy enough that I am able to open CCS without this AVG virus detected.
