Error CCSv6: not compiling

Where did you get the UART library from? Did you search in the compiler's include directory?

The compiler for my target is in C:\ti\ccs61\ccsv6\tools\compiler\c2000_6.2.11.  Yours should be in a similar location

Hello David,

That folder contains the compiler for my target processor (TMS320F28335).  You will have a different folder name for your processor (MSP430). 

Did you find the C:\ti\ccs61\ccsv6\tools\compiler directory? 

right click on the project in ccs and select properties.  go to Resources->Linked Resources and look for the CG_TOOL_ROOT or something like that.  The directory next to that variable will be the directory of your compiler.  look in the compiler's include directory for tistdtypes.h or stdtypes.h.
