CCS for MAC Problem with the debugger configuration

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP430F5528

Hi,

I have installed CCS 6 Beta 2 on my iMac and try to flash / debug an MSP528 with Emulation Board.

After starting the debugging it unfortunately hangs while Configuring Debugger. It say it could take a while but at the moment it lasts more than half a hour.

Any Ideas?

Thanks for your support,

Robert

Did you mean MSP430F5528? Is it a custom board?

Does it hang when trying to connect to device or when trying to load code? Are there any messages displayed when it is hung?

Is the same target board/debug probe known to work in another environment (on say Windows, or another version of CCS on Mac)?

  • Hi,

thank you for for fast support. Yes it is the MSP430F5528. And yes it is a custom board.

Hm, I can´t identify the difference between connecting and loading the code. May be a Screenshot can help us. Unfortunately I don´t have a Windows PC. :(

Ahh, and I did connect the MSP with a Lunch Pad.

To better understand the difference, would you mind checking section 3.3 of the page below? It may help pinpoint where exactly the issue is occurring.
