CCS 6.0.1- Floating user licensing issue - reg

We have purchased CCS 6.0.1. Registered in Ti and got Floating license file. We tried to load the file to the IDE. But the IDE still shows that the License is Free version only.

Hence in order to use the IDE we switched it to evaluation mode for time being.

Why is the License not being accepted by the IDE.

If this license file is already used by someone else, what should be done.

  • Roshan,

Did you setup a license server? A floating license requires you to setup a license server that distributes the licenses to end workstations. They are licenses that are shared by multiple people. A floating license file cannot be directly configured in CCS, you setup the license server and then point CCS to the license server to obtain the license.

If desired I can help you swap your floating license for a node locked license. Node locked licenses are used on individual machines.
