Greetings TI !

I use TMS570LC4357 HDK and CCSv6.1.1.00022. The debugger is XDS100v2 connected to CPU.

After I click debug option in CCS, the program doesn't load and instead shows the Debugger name mentioned as Disconnected.

Kindly let me know why the problem occurs. Why this error occurs? Is there any settings to be changed ?

Hi,

If you are certain your board is connected via the XDS100v2, then it seems your configuration is incorrect.

Your second screenshot shows your target configuration file is configured for a Blackhawk XDS560v2 USB System Trace, instead of a Texas Instruments XDS100v2. change that in the Target Configuration Editor and see if it works.

I tried both debuggers and the configuration settings were checked for both debuggers before running debug session. That dint work. The Target Configuration Editor was also verified

So you are saying you have both a Blackhawk XDS560v2 USB System Trace and also a XDS100v2? If so, I just noticed that your second screenshot shows the Debug session active (which is correct) but the Cortex R5 core is simply not connected (highlight it and select Ctrl+Alt+C).

If the other error messages refer to XDS100, I would double check the USB cable, the Windows Control Panel or run the xds100serial.exe utility (at directory C:\ti\ccsv6\ccs_base\common\uscif) to see if the XDS100 is being properly recognized by the OS.
