CCSv4 not supported by windows 10?

When I try to install ccsv4 out of the box, I run the disk to install and get an error message "Code Composer Studio v4 is not supported on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT NT\Currentversion

PRODUCT NAME REG_SZ windows 10 home"

is this a problem if I install anyway, or is the software not supported by windows 10

Also running windows 10 via BOOTCAMP from mac.

Hello,
The first version of CCS that will officially support Windows 10 is CCSv6.2. However earlier versions of CCSv6 are known to work well (despite not being officially supported). CCSv4 is pretty old and I never tried it with Windows 10 so I cannot comment. I think it *should* work but is one of those "use at your own risk" type of things.

Upon installation of ccsv6.2, will the newer software be compatible with my tmsf28069 experimenter kit? Or do I need to run CCSv4 which was included in the kit?

The kit is supported by CCSv6 and will continue to be supported when 6.2 is released. You may want to try moving to 6.1.1 now (the current latest) to try it out.

Hi,

Just a comment; this morning I just installed CCSv6.1.1 on my Windows 10 PC at home and it worked flawlessly with the boards I have there (F28027 Launchpad, MSP430G2553 Launchpad and TM4C123 Launchpad)
