Hi,

I have to work on a pretty old design based on a tms320lf2407A.

Current software environment: ccs3 - (eval version) (the compiler works and I have no problem for flashing the code)

I case where I need an emulator (connecting through usb), can you tell me which is/are the best choice(s) between:

- DXS510? XDS510plus? XDS560? XDS560V2?

- others?

The best options for you are the XDS510-class JTAG debuggers, and Spectrum Digital still has a C2000-specific model that costs less than a fully featured model:

A last question: do I need to by a CCS3 license or can I use this XDS510LC probe on my time limited version?

For time limited version you'll be availed with full feature set. Later yes, after expiration you'll have to.

As Gautam said, there is a time limit for the evaluation license that can't be overriden. However, if you purchased a license for one of the newer releases you are eligible for the older one (it is the same price as an exclusive ccsv3 license).

Hi Bruno,
That page has restricted access, hence you cannot see it. But basically the page just confirms what Rafael already says.

"If you buy a CCSv6 license, that license can be used with all previous versions of CCS (v5, v4, v3, v2, etc). Just let us know when you purchase one and we can provide a download link."
