Using System Analyzer feature in CCS6.1

Hi,

Could you please let me know the procedure for using system analyzer feature in CCS6.1 for TIVA C series targets?

I have tried using the same by going through the help available online:

But it seems to be working only when there is breakpoint in the code. (i.e, target is halted)

Refer snapshot below:

I would like to use the same for monitoring the data in real time.

Also please let me know the procedure to create a system anaylser (instrumented) build, this seems to be working only for the few options.

It does give error like instrumentation is not complete.

It would be great if you could point to a real example.

For Tiva C devices, if you use JTAG transport, then only stop-mode JTAG is supported, so the analyzer views will only be updated after halting the target. With UART tranport, events can be uploaded via serial connection during the idle loop, so they can be updated while the target is running.

You can control which events to log by editing the TI-RTOS .cfg file, LoggingSetup module, as in the screenshot below.
