Hello,

How can disable updates for features I don't use. For example, check for update returns with the Available Update shown below. The only processor I am using at the moment is the TMS320F28335 and I would like to only receive updates for it.

The update check will only show items that have been posted as updates to features that you have installed. I suspect that this one was posted as an update to the generic emulation / debug probe package. That package supports most of our cores including C2000. Thus you will see the update even if you are not using a Cortex R5 devices. I am looking into it but I think this is likely a temporary fix that will be removed from the update site once a full emupack release is available.

Hi Stephen,
Under "Windows -> Preferences -> Install/Update -> Available Software Sites" you can disable some of the sites that the update manager will check. Some sites are device family specific (like sites for Device Support), so you can disable the ones not for C2000. However, some sites apply for all families so you cannot do much about those and say I only want to see updates for a particular family (like the Code Generation Tools site).

Stephen,

I was able to confirm that this was posted as feature patch to the core emulation (debug probe) package. Unfortunately as it is a generic package that applies to everyone you will see it even if you are not using R5 devices. This patch will be removed in late November when there is a broader update to the feature.
