Hi Folks,
I thought I remembered reporting this issue before and that a bug was raised in relation to it, but I cant find the forum thread for the life of me!
If I build a project (C2000 atm) that has errors or warnings that should show within the problems window and the problems window is not pinned, the problems only show if the project folder is selected within the project explorer window. If any other project item in any other window is selected, say the file with the errors in the editor window, then the problems window is cleared! This only seems to happen if the problems window is not pinned, this of course makes it very frustrating to use as the use case goes like this:
1. Build- note that there are errors indicated by the icon overlay.
2. Click the problems window tab open - no problems show as a file is selected from the editor window
3. Click the project in the project explorer - the problems tab closes as it is not pinned and has now lost focus to the project explorer window.
4. Click the problems window tab open again, maybe double click on a problem to open the associated file, the problems window clears AGAIN because now the selection has moved from the project in the project explorer window to the file that the editor window opened.
5. Open the darn *%&^&£$ problems window again! Grrrrrrr...
6. Repeat 2 -5 for any further problems listed.
On smaller screens it is not feasible to have all the necessary windows pinned open all the time, so this rigmarole is fist-thru-screen annoying after the first few hundred times...
As I mentioned, I could have sworn I reported this before and it was filed as a bug that was promised for fix for 6.1.1 but a) I cannot find that thread (it was some time ago and may even have been for a v5.x release), b) I see that the issue still remains in the latest release v6.1.1 release.
Can you reproduce this?
Will it be fixed?
Ta, T
