I am happy with CCS V5.5 on my desktop and today started using a new portable PC win 10 home 64bit.
The CCS V6.1 offline (32 bit) installer was used on the new portable PC.
It prompted me to turn off AVG anti-virus after install began and I cancelled the install
and turned off(until re-boot) the AVG anti-virus software and I re-started the
CCS V6.1 offline installer from the D: drive and allowed the C: TI expected install location.
It seemed to be moving along fine (I can attach install log files) and I looked up for a minute.
When I looked back at the screen the PC was in a reboot prompting for a normal win 10 startup.
I let it restart and again disabled AVG (until re-boot) at the 1st opportunity (not prompted).
The PC came up fine and I have the TI folder but no shortcut and no evidence of the new software
being available in TI or program files or program files x86.
so what do I do?
