Configure Target whit Texas Instruments Simulator

Hello,

Sorry for my ignorance , I am new in CCS and I try to program the MSP430F437A , but before loading the file to mocricontrolador , I would like to simulate it , I saw that for this we must set options for a connection llamda Texas Intruments Simulator utilie , instead of that I get the TI MSP430 USB1 default , but when I try to configure the simulation , surprise , I haven't intrumens Texas simulator available ,

so, How do I have to set my project to simulate without having to physically connect the microcontroller ?

and if they have simulator , how am i found that i've programmed this right without having to connect to microcrontroller ?

My license is Free and i work with Windows 8.1.

Thancks for your time.

  • Edel,

Unfortunately we don't have a simulator for MSP430. The cheapest hardware option would be a LaunchPad. You could pick one that is closest to the end device that you will be using. In general we have moved away from providing simulators and instead provide low cost hardware solutions.
