Updating CCS' Eclipse?

Hi everybody!

I was currently looking for an AVR plugin, to programm some other Microcontrollers with CCS, but I can't install the Plugin because of an too old version of CCS. I have been searching for an answer but I just could not find anything satisfying so far. What i need is an update of the

org.eclipse.cdt.core to 4.0.0

can anyone help me?

Xaser,

CCSv4 was built with cdt core 3.1.0 and no updates are scheduled for this release. CCSv5 (still under development) will use a newer version of Eclipse.

Just curiosity: are you trying to use CCSv4 to develop code for the Atmel AVR microcontrollers?

Yepp, actually i have about 6 microcontrollers, 3 of them are from TI the other once not, and each one has an own IDE, it me off, that i have to use an other IDE everytime i want to programm an other controller

In my opinion this thread has been verified a little too fast, does this now finally mean, i won't be able to use CCS as IDE for the AVR compiler?

Xaser,

You are right; currently CCSv4 only supports Eclipse 3.2 (CDT3.1) compatible plugins. It still can be used as an IDE for the C development, but the project build will have to be done through either the command-line or through a standard gmake project - similar to what is done when GCC is used:
