Hi,

I have the following queries regarding CCStudio 6.0.1 (TI RTOS 2.14) Free License version.

Code size limitation in

1) TI Compiler for development board project.

2) GNU Compiler for development board project.

3) TI Compiler for custom board project.

4) GNU Compiler for custom board project.

and TI Compiler versus GNU Compiler?

Hi,

Code size limitation is only relevant for MSP430/MSP432 devices and is applicable to any board. If you are using Tiva, this limitation is not applicable.

Also, code size limitation is only applicable to TI compiler tools. GNU has no limitations.

One detail: if you are seeing code size limitation in your build environment, check the thread below for additional details:

Just one remark: according to the page below, TI-RTOS releases 2.13 and above are to be used only with CCSv6.1.0. Perhaps it works with earlier CCS releases, but it may not be fully tested.

Thanks for the reply.

We are using Tiva controller and IDE is CCS 6.1.1 (TI RTOS 2.14.0.10). Can i use TI Compiler without any limitations?
There is a confusion in the link e2e.ti.com/.../1386756 (last post from Justin Huskic. He is using TM4C1294NCPDT, but facing the code limitation problem). Please clarify.

Yes there should be no limitation
