CCXML and cmd files in CCSV4

In CCSV4, under directory: Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\common\targetdb\configurations, there are lots of *.CCXML files. They look like the configure file for a certain device with a certain emulator. How can I use them? Do I suppose to copy them into my workspace?

In CCSV4, under directory: Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\arm\include, there are lots of *.cmd files. They look like the cmd file for a certain device. What are they for?

I ask these questions because I am responsible to provide device xml files and gel files for TMS570 devices. In the previous release package, I found these files. But I don't know why they are there.

Thanks,

Haixiao

  • The configurations folder you found contains some prebuilt configurations.  There are a couple ways you can use them.  One is to copy them into a project in your workspace or your user configuration folder.  Alternatively you can create a new target configuration file, click on the advanced tab and click the import button.

The *.cmd files that you see in the \arm\include folder are for Stellaris devices.  There is a cmd file for each device.  It would be great if you could provide one for each 570 device.  The device xml files you are working on can specify a default cmd file to use when creating a new project.
