CCSv6 wont start after Add-ons installation

Dear TI team,

I have installed Code Composer Studio 6.1.2. After starting the application and installing the addons, the message below appears when ever I try to start CCSv6

Does any one know how can I get around this problem?

OS: Windows 7 professional SP1

Hello,
How are you trying to launch the application? Via the generated desktop shortcut?

I tried with the shortcut as well as with:

C:\ti\ccsv6\eclipse\ccstudio.exe

I don't know what caused the problem, but it looks like one of updates which was downloaded for CCS 6.1 is using an installer designed for the older CCS 5.5.

Based upon a forum search, I think if you try and delete the contents of <ccs_install_dir>/ccsv6/eclipse/downloads that should remove the problematic installer and then hopefully CCS should then be able to start. e.g. see https://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/p/358974/1260241#1260241.

If all else fails, try deleting the failed CCS 6 install and retry. I know this is not ideal, but sometimes I found a clean re-install is required after a failed CCS update.

Hello, so erasing the files on the download folder did work. CCSv6 is back running.
