Hello,
AM437x parts provide trace signals EMU0,...,EMU11. We are making schematic / PCB layout decisions regarding which of these signals are routed to the processor debug interface.
The XDS200 USB Debug Probe provides the Compact TI 20 pin interface, which includes signals IEEE 1149.1 EMU0, EMU1 and EMU2,...,EMU4 trace port signals.
The XDS200 can also be equipped with a 14 pin adapter, with an interface that does not provide EMU2,...,EMU4 trace port signals.
Questions:
1. Does CCS + XDS200 provide trace capability that utilizes EMU2,...,EMU4 trace port signals?
- EMU2,...,EMU4 constitute only part of the set of pins which implement either 8-bit or 10-bit MPU trace mode.
2. If (1) is true, since each of EMU2,...,EMU4 can be mapped to 4 different pins on the AM437x, does CCS provide a method of specifying which of the 4 pin options each of the EMU2,...,EMU4 can be mapped to, or is there only one option?
3. Also, for AM437x trace port signals EMU5,...,EMU11, do these signals provide additional trace functionality when utilized with the XDS560v2 with CCS, or are they unused / unsupported at this time?
Kind regards,
Wayne Butner
