Hello champs,

My customer is having trouble with CCS garbage issue.

When customer is using CCS, customer got Error Msg as below.

Actually, they already got some issue with JVM memory lick.

So, I guided them to follow the post,

However, it didn't work at this time.

How can I fix this problem?

I've never seen this message before.

Hello,
When does this error occur? And has the customer tried using a new workspace folder?

Hi Ki, I checked, then let them know.
Customer is using new workspace folder due to C drive firewall issue, so I'm waiting from customer response.

Hi Ki, They changed Register value for this, but it didn't work.

Since it appears the customer is on Windows 7, the registry workaround mentioned in the thread would not work (as Martin mentioned in this post: e2e.ti.com/.../733647 I just want to confirm if using a new workspace worked for the customer. Can you confirm if it did (or did not)?

Hi Ki,
Customer made new Workpsace, then they got same message even though they didn't do anything after CCS open.

Ok thanks. That is odd that it is happening with a new workspace without any projects imported. Something is causing the garbage collector to constantly run. Can you enable the setting to show the heap status and let me know what the heap usage is when the error occurs?

Hi Ki,

They got error message before heap size was full.

Ronie - can you do the following:

Open the Progress view (View -> Other..):

Open the Progress view preferences:

Enable the option to show sleeping and system operations:

all operations will now be visible in the Progress view:

Can you describe what operations you see when your get the garbage collection error?

The 3rd item seems to be causing the issue....

In the Workspace preferences (Window -> Preferences), can you disable the "Refresh using native hooks or polling" option?

Hmm... this is an odd one, but it is also the second time recently that I have heard of such an issue. We are thinking of some other things to try. We will let you know as soon as we come up with something. Sorry for the inconvenience
