For library complex, which are both std style without .hpp suffix, they are not indexed in the editor. As they are in same folder, why would eclipse miss the default highlithting?

Unfortunately I can't reproduce this here. I can get xcomplex to properly show the syntax highlighting in my CCSv6.1.1, as shown in the screenshot below:
I wonder if somehow the workspace got corrupt - perhaps try to open a new one, re-import the project and see if the issue goes away?
