Cannot change project name

Running CCS Version: 6.1.2.00015

Looking over previous posts, the last time someone complained about not being able to rename a project was in2012 and it was posted as a bug to be fixed.

What is the status of this? I was able to succeed using a brute force method of renaming the directory and the brute force searching all the files in the project and changing the text there, but this is not reasonable.

Hello Greg,

I am using CCS 6.1.2 and I am able to rename the project and the files in the project. What is the error message CCS shows when the issue occurs?

I tried renaming a project and got the error:
The participant 'Header File Rename' caused an internal error and has been disabled for this refactoring. See the error log for more details.

I also tried importing an example and renaming it. This failed in the past but worked this time. So something is inconsistent.

Hello Greg,

Can you create a new workspace and try the same? I did face a issue similar to this quite some time back and made a new workspace after which I haven't seen the same.

This is a known issue in CCS, please see this related post. The bug should be fixed in the next CCS release expected in March.
