560v2 Mezzanine emulator on TI EVM 6614 not powering up

Hi,

We are having issues with 560v2 Mezzanine emulator as it stopped powering on (LED's were not turning on).

We tried two solutions provided in the following link but no luck.

When we tried BH560v2 Config utility it is showing no device found and same error with Sd560v2Cnfgv5 too.

Can someone provide solution for this?

Anji,

Is the emulator connected to the 6614 when you attempt to use the utilities? I just ran a quick sanity check here and had to connect the 560v2 Mezzanine to the target before the LEDs turned on. It might be worthwhile to check the connection between the target and 560v2.

Mark,

Yes, emulator is connected to 6614 (It is EVM6614). EVM is powering on but the emulator is not powering on. We we tried to launch the target from CCS, we are getting following error

Error initializing emulator:

(Error -2083 @ 0x0)

Unable to communicate with the emulator. Confirm emulator configuration and connections, reset the emulator, and retry the operation.

(Emulation package 5.1.232.0)

Then the hardware seems to be damaged as Device Manager detection is primary. Can you check with the hardware for voltages? I'm not sure whether any third party would repair it or not. Contact the manufacturer.

Anjibabu,

I agree with Gautam. Given the procedure you already followed on this and the other thread, I suspect the mezzanine card is faulty, especially due to the fact Windows is unable to enumerate it.

This is obviously taking into consideration that you already switched USB cables, USB ports, and even PCs to try to get this going.

In this case, you can try to issue a RMA with the distributor that sold you that kit.

Thanks for your replies. This EVM we are using for past 18 months and all of sudden one fine morning (last week) it stopped working, I don't think we can issue RMA with the distributor. BTW do you have any idea about warranty period? is it one year or more than that?.

Despite the mezzanine card is manufactured by Blackhawk, as Gautam hinted, I think the whole development kit would fall into the manufacturer's warranty terms.
