CCS Installisation problem

Hello,

I have received the folloowing question from my customer. Can you please help me with this?

We have recently purchased a Keystone II evaluation platform from Advantech (EVMK2H). We plan to develop software on Linux for this platform…

My PC has Ubuntu 14.04 installed on it and when I run the CCSv5 installation binary I get the dialog screen on the left. Whereas, in the MCSDK user guide, the same screen is described to be like the one on the right. It seems that in my version “C6x DSP + ARM processors” option is not available… As the result, I cannot properly install CCS for the processor that I intend to work on. Could you please investigate the issue and provide feedback on it?

Great, thanks for the screenshots.

I assume that the MCSDK shows a screenshot of the CCSv6 installer while the customer is using the CCSv5 installer. Please see the note in the screenshot below the installer screenshot in the MCSDK User's guide:

"Note if CCSv5.5 is used, please select "C6000 Multi Core DSPs" option

Hence the customer can use the "C6000 Multi Core DSPs" option for their installer:
