CCS V6.0 Import project issue

Hi,

Earlier I have created a project using CCS V6.0 on my old laptop (32-bit WIN 8).

Later I got a new laptop with 64-bit OS. I have installed the CCS V6.0 on my new laptop. But when I tried to import the existing project, it throws an error (see below). But the same project can be imported without any issues on my colleague's laptop.

I tried to uninstall and install the program, even then the problem persists.Please let me know how to resolve the same.

Hi Rahul,
The error you posted is an update failure, and not related to importing projects. Did you post the wrong screenshot.

As for the update failure, there are some known issues with some anti-virus/firewall/security software blocking updates. Can you try temporarily disabling it and trying again?

You are right, Ki. I have posted a wrong error message. The actual error message says,

"Error: Import failed for project 'LED_HUD' because its compiler definition is not available. Click 'View > CCS App Center' to install the MSP430v4.4 compiler before importing this project."

From the "Installed Software" window, the compiler installed is shown as V4.3.3. TI Support team has mentioned it must be OK. I have checked on TI site and I could not find any MSP430V4.4 compiler. Still trying to figure out what might be the issue.

Rahul - you will need to use the "Install new software" to update your compiler version to 4.4. See: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Compiler_Updates

Hi Ki,

I have updated the compiler but I could not see any compiler with version 4.4. The latest version is 4.3 which is already installed.
