CCS Cloud on Chromebook not fully functional

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: ENERGIA

I have a Toshiba Chromebook with Intel processor. I have tried to use CCS Cloud. I was able to instal the TI Cloud Agent Bridge extension, but cannot (of course) run the TI Cloud Agent Application.

I have two questions:

1. Is there any thought of making a Chrome App of the TI Cloud Agent Application?

2. Is not being able to run the TI Cloud Agent Application only going to affect my ability to load / run / debug code on the actual launchpads?

[I have Ubuntu installed on the machine using Chronos, so I will try there next. But that is more resource intense so I don't usually run it.]

Thank,

Craig

  • Hi Craig,
Unfortunately, the TI Cloud Agent is not supported on ChromeOS. There are no current plans to support this in the near future (though this can change)

Without the TI Cloud Agent, you will not be able to establish target connection with the device, hence losing the ability to load/run/debug your code on the target.

    Ubuntu is supported.

    Thanks

  • Thanks for the quick response, Ki. Good to know the limitations. I'll start working the CCS on the Ubuntu partition soon. Having problems with Energia compiling there, but I'll go to 43oh to see if anyone can help.

    Thanks,

    Craig
