In a CCS4 watch window looking at module registers the registers are described by bit fields. It looks like this info is got from .XML files at for example
C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\common\targetdb\Modules\c674x\rCSL_ehrpwm_001.xml

Is the same information available anywhere as a .H so that we can easily use bit fields on the C674x to set register values as is available on the C2000 DSP series?

The "raw" register information can be obtained and used directly from the CSL (Chip Support Library) installed with the PSP software package.

Depending on the device it can be installed at:

C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\pspdrivers_01_20_00_07\packages\ti\pspiom\cslr for OMAPL137

C:\OMAP-L138_dsp_1_00_00_10\pspdrivers_01_30_01\packages\ti\pspiom\cslr for OMAPL138 or C6748

Thanks for your reply. I have seen the CSL files, these are a way of manipulating register bit fields using macros. I derived my own macros for doing it that way before I found the CSL stuff. What I really want to do is use the bit fields feature of C to manipulate the registers, that will be much more usable than the macro route.

Unfortunately I am not aware if an implementation of the register structures using bit fields exists. The CSL you know is what we currently have.
