CCS4: Delete from project does not use recycling bin

The other day I deleted a file out of a project through CCS. It warned me that it was about to delete it from my computer and I hit "OK". One thing that concerned me is that the file did not show up in my recycling bin. I don't need that file back or anything, but surely the time will come where someone does!

Not sure what we could possibly do about this other than add an FAQ. However I don't really see the point of the FAQ as Eclipse already tells you what is going to happen.

Ideally I hoped something could be tweaked so that deleted files went to the recycling bin instead of being permanently deleted. I think you just get a "regular delete" dialog, not the "permanent deleted" dialog, so I do find the behavior surprising.

If you delete a file from the project you can recover it by right clicking on the project and selecting "Restore from Local History..."

What if the whole project was deleted and I also select the "Also Delete contents" option. Is there any way to recover the files? Thanks in advance.

Dominic,

There is no way to recover a deleted project from CCS/Eclipse if you checked the box to remove from file system. Your best option may be to try a disk recover tool to recover deleted files.
