No hex utility

Hello,

I try to create an .hex file to export a binary file. On the forum, the Hex Utility in CCS is always mentioned, but I cannot find it on my project. So I tried to update the CCS, but the problem remain : there is no Hex Utility.

Any idea of how to add this utility ?

I am moving this thread to the Code Composer Studio Forum for their experts' awareness. Can you please indicate the exact version of CCS you have installed. Have you tried completely re-installing CCS?

Hello,

The hex utility comes with the build tools.

It looks like you are using CCSv5. Use the "Use pre-defined step" drop down to select the option to generate a hex file. This will populate the post-build step field with the command to call the hex utility:

Ryan => The exact version of CCS is V6.1.1.00022.
