Aartig, what helped me to solve the problem was the solution given by "Matthijs van Duin":

~$ locate '*/libudev.so.1'
/lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.1
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libudev.so.1
~$ sudo ln -s libudev.so.1 /lib/i386-linux-gnu/libudev.so.0

Hi Aartig, it looks that there is another problem with the MSPware. I was able to export the "training" and "DriverLib" projects from the MSPware to the workspace, but when I tried to export a proyect from the Code examples i get this error:

This was a known issue in an older version of MSPWare that should have been fixed. Are you using the latest version of MSPWare?

Since the original issue that started this thread (blank "getting started" view) is resolved, please start a new post if you continue to have problems with creating projects with latest version of MSPWare.
